Homework Policy
Homework is important to your child’s academic progress in that it reinforces the concepts we covered in class. Homework is assigned for every evening from Monday through Thursday. Homework is usually not assigned on Friday. All homework must be completed and turned in the next morning, with the exception of the Weekly Reading Log.
Your child is being asked to read for at least 20 minutes each day. The number of pages read each day should be recorded on the Weekly Reading Log. On Thursday, your child will write about their reading. Reading logs are to be turned in on Friday morning.
If your child struggles with his or her homework, please feel free to help. If you have trouble helping, please write me a note, so I can help your child.
Late/Unfinished Homework: If students do not turn in missing assignments by Friday of each week, they will not be allowed to participate in Fun Friday.
