Room 118 Supply Recommendations

Here is a list of supplies you may consider getting for your 3rd grade student this year in my classroom.  You are not required to buy these supplies as I can supply some of these items for families in need.  But my own supplies are limited and any supplies you can provide for your child will be appreciated.

  • 1 or 2 packs of yellow #2 school pencils (please do NOT buy mechanical pencils unless your child has a special need for one). 3rd graders usually go through 3 to 4 boxes of pencils in a school year.
  • 1 or 2 plastic pocket folders – any colors  NOTE: Your child does NOT need a binder or any filler paper so do not spend money for these! We will use one for homework and notes.
  • 1 box of colored pencils (12 or 24 in a pack) You can buy crayons, but I prefer colored pencils.
  • Two low odor, dry erase markers (blue or green). Black or red markers stain our whiteboards, so we don’t recommend them. Green or blue are the best!
  • A whiteboard eraser. (An old sock also works very well and will save you money too.)
  • A highlighter (any color) I have a few, but if your child has their own, it will help me out.
  • A pair of earbuds or simple headphones for use with our Chromebooks when we do Reflex Math and RAZ reading.
